Paul Hagan is a retired Emeritus Professor from the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW Sydney, Australia, having concluded his distinguished academic career in 2020.
Over a 22-year tenure, he held various key roles, including Director of Undergraduate Studies and Head of School. His extensive teaching experience saw him delivering around ten courses annually at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Recognizing a recurring need for improved student report writing, he created the "Guide to Report Writing," first published in 2000. His commitment to enhancing student writing has led to multiple revisions, culminating in the release of the 11th edition in 2024. |

Pam Mort is a lecturer, researcher, and learning resource developer in academic language and professional communication skills. She currently works in the Academic Language & Learning team, Teaching Learning & Curriculum at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
Pam has worked in tertiary institutions since 1993 designing and delivering credit and non-credit courses on academic literacy for university students. She has published over 20 papers and conference presentations on academic literacy initiatives. Multiple collaborations with Engineering lecturers have led to the development of online learning resources for university students writing reports, giving presentations and developing their English communication fluency. Pam has been a co-author of the RWG since its inception. |
